ESL Student Journal at Michigan State University
Write or not to write! says a 21 year old Arabic student studying at Michigan State University. We write, but why? Do we write for ourselves? Do we write for our teachers? or Do we write for puplic?
The latter is found to be the best motivation source by the intermediate level reading and writing students at MSU. Guided by their instructor Baburhan Uzum, these 13 students are preparing their work to get published, and to be read somewhere. "I feel like I am doing something valuable and people will care about me" says a Korean girl studying in this class.
These students are working in groups of 2 or 3, they find ideas, create outlines, write about them, review and edit them and finally publish them on their blog page. "This started as a blog page but can be something bigger, and involve everyone studying at the English language center" says their instructor-Baburhan Uzum.

Google as the Accomplice!!!

Latest claims show google as the accomplice for spreading the illegal copies of software and media. On lifehacker website the moderator states "Forbes calls Google the New Pirate Bay because it's great at finding torrents—acting as a sort of meta-aggregator. With this custom Google search engine, it's even easier to find and download torrents via Google."
As getting licensed copy of media and software is becoming no longer a natural but respected, virtuous and rightous behavior, the easy access to such illegal copies makes it even a harder struggle.
"As the Forbes article linked above points out, doing a simple search for wolverine torrent turns up several popular BitTorrent trackers, meaning you're just two clicks away from downloading the leaked movie via BitTorrent. The custom search engine in question just streamlines the process slightly by explicitly defining which popular torrent trackers Google should search.
This isn't the first time we've seen Google used for quick and easy file sharing. Previously mentioned G2P uses some custom Google-fu to find publicly hosted media files in a quick and easy search."
